Here it is folks, your one and only chance to own a genuine final issue HOFF Squirrel. I have spent the last 12 years trying to get my hands on one of these and now that I have, I pass the opportunity along to you. HOFF of Germany created many yard sculptures in their time all of which have great retro appeal and worth. The company started in 1947 shortly after the war and for the next 20 years almost every yard in America was adorned with at least one of their great works of art. However hard times befell the HOFF company and in 1966 they closed their doors to the world. The last piece to come out of the factory was a tree squirrel. Beautiful in it's simplicity only 123 were produced before the shut down. Many of these pieces went to the owners and employees and have since been lost to history. I am not sure how I got lucky enough to have found this lovely specimen but here it is. This piece is in great condition and doesn't even look like it has been used. The paint is clean and the colors great. There is hole on the bottom where you could hang it on a nail and attach it to a tree (if you were crazy enough to do so with this rare gem). There are no visible cracks or breaks in the ceramic and I would rate the condition as a 9.5. This is a once in a lifetime chance, don't miss it.
